Food Party is a really funny, childishly demented “cooking” show that started out as a video art project in Ohio that has made its way onto IFC. Hosted by Thu Tranh, it borders on the edge of creative insanity just enough for me to absolutely adore it. Van Gogh is Bipolar is a restaurant in Quezon City of the Philippines that primarily serves food that contains hormones to balance serotonin and dopamine levels. Upon initial recognition, it sounds either cruel or unhygienic, but its quite the opposite. In Japan, a relatively new cafe trend has emerged — serving food with the companionship of a pet. Personally, I don’t prefer to eat around animals, but different strokes…It’s starting to gain momentum in the innovative country and I certainly love specialty shops/cafe/anything that find an interesting niche. Most of these cafes are for cats, this particular one is for rabbits. Watch the vid for details, lay-z.

Stumbled upon this superb blog from a Portland vegan foodie, Get Sconed, and found this particular post listing food carts to be oh so appetizing. Looks like I’m going to have to start planning my way to the opposite end of the country asap. Bikes, record shops, vegan carts, oh my.

So I had the best veggie burger so far in my short span of vegetarianism a few weeks ago in California and to this lonely night, I’m still salivating at its memory. It was at the Veggie Grill. There’s only 4 locations, all of which are in Arrrnold’s territory, but I really hope they expand nationwide one day! I forgot the exact menu name of the burger I got; I think it was just the regular one. Make sure you get the sweet potater fries. I hate most friens normally yet these were just yum yams. Zagat rated, if you don’t trust me.
