bunny friends

Photographer Polly Borland collaborated with lanky English actress Gwen Christie on a project that came to be known as Bunny Nose.  It’s a collection of partially dressed or nude pictures of Gwen in home-crafted bunny costume.  Best friends, these two.

From time to time, I’ll post a flickr artist/photographer/bastard/designer.  Here’s Jess Gough.  I’m a sucker for warm tones.

new jan von holleben series

Jan Von Holleben‘s parents were a cinematographer and a child therapist.  So perhaps he was “Frankenstein’ed” to become one of the most visually compelling photographers of child fantasy today.  If you haven’t seen it before, his “Dreams of Flying” series is one of the most memorable for me, proving all you need is some imagination to defy gravity.  His latest work is the “Journey to Everywhere” series, depicting kids sailing on the high seas, to surviving in the jungle, to exploring outer space.  All of which utilize depth illusion with small plants or objects.  Reminiscent of simpler happiness.

pee roid zombie rising

Polaroid announced awhile ago that they have ceased all production of the iconic instant developing technology.  But fanatics of the classic photography has stirred up enough of a movement for the company to release what is probably the last remaining units of Type779 instant film.  It will be packaged together with limited ONE600 cameras.  There will only be 700 boxes, all of which will be released at Urban Outfitters (wow, y them? at least they aren’t selling something they shouldn’t be selling just cause it’s a hipster cash-pot). Want one! still got my po-cam, not sure if it works though…

Not much info out there about this artist, but Kristian Mendoza’s Transparency collection just aesthetically pleases me.  See the still images of this collection at what I think is an online portfolio instead of this seizure-inducing .gif I posted.
