‘The Thing’ is a basement shop full of used records, possibly the most in NYC. It’s more of a ‘junk’ store because nothing is organized, everything is dirty, and it’s all second hand. But if you love crate diggin (as I do!) or just plain ole’ thriftin’ (they have used books and other nick nacks), I’m sure you would spend a scavenger’s day here. I haven’t personally been there yet, but I’m definitely going to seek it out the first chance I get. Everything is dirt cheap and there’s supposedly over 75,000 records.
